Cindy Reisner, Director of Qualitative Research
I do research because I love learning, and there's nothing I'm more curious about than my fellow human beings.
Human decision-making is complex, and as a lifelong market researcher my passion has been to learn through multi-faceted research engagements.
I am not a qualitative or quantitative researcher: I'm a researcher who enjoys using multiple learning streams to allow for a more complete view in guiding client strategy. Engaging with clients over time gives me an understanding of their markets. This makes me a more effective moderator, and helps me synthesize insights - both qualitative and quantitative - for seamless and comprehensive analysis.
My interest in understanding what makes people tick goes back to my graduate and undergraduate studies. After receiving my Bachelor's degree from Cornell University with a major in psychology, I earned a Master's degree from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. My work there focused on visual communication, and I'm excited that technology for sharing pictures and video has finally enhanced our ability to use images to facilitate interview interactions. Using new tools makes us better researchers, and I'm proud that TRC is always developing ways to learn better.
